Getting to the Base
There is a small airport that's about 5 minutes away by golf cart.
Check-Out Procedures
If renting a boat from Navtours/DYC, one way, you may not have a formal check out. You'll need to fill out the paperwork you were given at the beginning of the charter. Be careful to take good notes and pictures since the formal check-out will happen when you're no longer at the marina.

Staniel Cay Yach Club is one of the few "full service" stops in the Exumas.

There is a significant current in the channel just outside of the marina. Be careful when maneuvering when the current is strong.

At Staniel Cay Yacht Club you'll find great people, bar, restaurant, water, shore power, fuel, a place to get rid of trash, and a gift shop.

Staniel Cay Yach Club is a spot where fish are cleaned each day so there are plenty of reef sharks, rays, etc. swimming around the marina.

Depending on the time of year, you may find this location packed with boats and megayachts, or quite and easy to navigate.

Staniel Cay was a great little spot to end our Exumas trip. The marina area is nice, and the restaurant had decent food and drinks. For me the key to this place was that it allowed us to do a longer one way sail in the Exumas, instead of doing a round trip. Getting to spend more time and see more of the island chain was a key part of our journey. The flight back to Nassau was quick and easy from the small airport on the island.
